The music Associate professor from the Department of Cultural studies at VUC got his monograph Expertise in Jazz Guita Improvisation: A Cognitive Approach published at well renound Routledge. 

Despite slowing down the project to follow Corona guidelines, the «world’s best media house» is on schedule for opening in August 2021. 

Students will be given access to VUC campus from May 14 to avoid any delays in academic progress. This applies to all students at VUC. Students should evaluate their own need to access our campus facilities in order to maintain their academic progression.

Following the Norwegian Government presenting new Corona advice Tuesday, Campus will still be closed and the semester will be completed digitally. But VUC are allowed to grant access to departing bachelor- and master students in need of special equipment and rooms from 27th of April. Who qualifies and the process behind will be presented after the Easter holiday.

The Coronavirus pandemic developed differently than most of us expected at first. Now that we are facing a lockdown in Norway, several aspects of the daily life are affected.

On 19th. of March, the Board of Volda University College passed new, temporary regulations on studies and examinations prompted by the situation with the Corona virus. The regulations are intended to safeguard the rights of the students, and give the academic staff the possibility to adjust teaching and examination form.

All exams that require physical attendance, such as written school exams and oral exams, will be changed to alternative digital exams.
