March 1st is the deadline for applying to the Master in Media Practices at Volda Universtity College. Meet two students that did just that last year, and are really happy about their choice. 

Is this your first year at Høgskulen I Volda? Are you a new exchange student? Then you might have noticed there’s a lot of things going on around the university and the town. This week and also the upcoming one is full of events because of VEKA 2019. Still don’t know what is it?

The 6th of February was a big day at Høgskulen I Volda. The international office have had to prepare one of the most important events of the year, the international day. A day which students from more than 40 different countries have its own stand and the chance to show local students a little bit of its culture, its country and universities.

The couple are main speakers on the annual International Day 6th of February. The world famous actor was voted Dream Guest by last year’s participants. 

Volda University College has started using Canvas as its LMS platform (Learing Management System), replacing Fronter from the autumn semester of 2017. Fronter will remain available for those who want to access old course information.

Are you a responsible, proactive and social student, interested in internationalization, other cultures, languages and backgrounds? Then you might just be the right person for us! The International Office is happy to announce a placement position in Pangaia, available from August/September on, preferably for the entire duration of the academic year 2016/2017.

During International Week (3-7th February) VUC will be visited by guests from all over the world. The week is filled with great events such as guest lectures, seminars, breakfast meeting, and the highlight of the week, International Day.

Raindog Studios has made an animated film with the purpose of promoting Volda as a place to study. The idea was conceived by Cecilie Wilhelmsen last year and the film premiered at the Animation Volda festival last week.

Valentin Gatlan, a journalist student from "Al. I. Cuza" University in Romania enjoys his second semester as an exchange student in Volda. So much so, he decided to initiate a project about happiness. "What makes you happy?" is intended to raise awareness about the small things in life, which make a difference and bring a smile on our faces.
