Successfull Christmas workshop
In a joint project, meant to improve the integration in the student community at Volda University College, Pangaia and STiV organized a successful Christmas workshop. Norwegian and international students participated in the activities carefully prepared. The participants could choose from various stands, and prepare gingerbread, make decorations, snowflakes, sing Christmas carols or simply spread the good humour of the evening.

At the end of the three hours’ workshop, the participants had the chance to decorate their gingerbreads and at the same time answer the Christmas themed questions, in a bid to win a six pack of julebrus. The results of the work will be displayed in Pangaia and STiV's office, in BK, as part of the winter holiday decorations.

Best opportunity for integration
Kristian Fredheim, leader of STiV, was happy with the outcome of the activity.
- The Christmas workshop is an initiative meant to improve the unity between Norwegian and international students at Volda Univeristy College.
Pangaia is ready for more common actions with STiV and to show the Norwegian students that the office is a cozy home away from home for everybody.
- It was an incredible opportunity to learn about the Norwegian Christmas traditions and to get out of the student life daily routine, says Dunia Soriano Celma, international trainee, responsible for Pangaia.

Both STiV and Pangaia representatives were happy they could use the canteens' kitchen in BK and that they were allowed to use the utensils.
